There is a common theme you can trace throughout the whole of human history — engineers and the study of engineering is paramount to a well-functioning society, and often times engineering the only testament left long after that society is gone. Whether it’s the pyramids of Giza, the Parthenon in Greece, or the shipwrights of the British Empire, all of these feats come down to engineering.

In today’s world, engineers are more important than ever, and training them is of major importance to all countries across the globe. That’s why websites like TeachEngineering are so valuable. TeachEngineering contains a wealth of activities, lesson plans, and information about careers in engineering for grades K-12. The lesson plans and activities are detailed, well constructed, and usually require only readily available materials. If you are teaching a unit on engineering or just have a student that really seems to be a tinkerer, you need to check out this website and all the wonderful resources it can provide.
