Gretchen Schaefer

Gretchen Schaefer is an instructional technologist at Husson University in Bangor, Maine. At Husson, she works with faculty to integrate technology into their teaching, and works with pre-service teachers on portfolio design and creation. Gretchen’s technology interests are in higher education and teacher preparation, and she has a special interest in the impact of technology on community.
Prior to arriving at Husson, Gretchen taught at the middle level in a 1:1 laptop classroom as part of the Maine Learning Technology Initiative. She earned a BS in Elementary Education and a M. Ed. in Instructional Technology from the University of Maine. Gretchen lives in Bangor, Maine with her husband and daughter.
